The Basin Seminaries is hosting a two-week long theological residency during the Winter of 2025 - 2026. Free accommodations are provided on the Spotted Frog Ranch to support a student or scholar interested in the cross section of religious studies and the land. Applicants from any religious or cultural tradition are encouraged to apply.
Applicants are invited to spend their time this winter investing in a theological project connected to land. We are seeking writers, thinkers, essayists, creatives of all sorts, to use the land, and the quiet, for theological reflection and creativity. The dates of the program are flexible. We hope that the winter residency will culminate in a shareable piece for your own portfolio and for the broader public. We'd love to highlight your work on our website too!
Send a cover letter, resume, description of your intended project on the ranch, two references, and anything else you think might be helpful in considering your application (ie. writing sample or sample of related work). Send your application to info@basinseminaries.org. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.
